It took a while, but that long awaited snow finally arrived. And it was a monster. On 2/17, Highway
431 (Mount Rose Highway), Interstate 80, Highway 50, and State route 28 were all closed ALL day.
Reno hotels and Carson City hotels got filled quickly. State route 207, (Kingsbury Grade), south of Carson City to South Lake Tahoe also closed and was the first to open around 2AM on 2/18 and Bally’s in South Shore had rooms available at 3AM. For those wishing for snow, be careful what you wish for. This was a doozy!
The Incline real estate market is slowly improving, and more properties are being shown as buyers show increased interest in this wonderful mountain community. We had over 300 total sales in the village in 2025.
I expect that 2026 will be a strong year for our real estate market as more and more properties are listed closer to summer. Whether you are thinking of buying a primary or second home here, prices will creep up, but you will have more choices.
As a seller, you will have more competition, but demand will increase for well-priced properties.
Whether a buyer or seller, I am always available to answer any of your real estate related questions.
