2022 was not such a great year for sales in the Village or Crystal Bay. Almost half as many properties sold in 2022 versus 2021. 468 properties sold in 2021 and only 280 sold in 2022.
The market is more stable than in the past couple of years when many properties for sale received multiple offers. It now seems that neither buyers or sellers have the upper hand. Many buyers are waiting to see what happens to our economy. Our current higher mortgage rates will no doubt cool the buying activity we saw in 2021.
If you are a seller, price your property reasonably and don’t expect multiple offers. If you are a buyer, waiting a few months will no doubt give you more properties to choose from as sellers bring more listings to the market.
